An early break to the airstrip at Lukla provides access to a Himalayan world ‘Khumbu” where the air is crystal clear and colorful prayer flags flutter from the rooftops. Our well staged itinerary based on experiences follow trail alongside the Dudh Kosi and torrential Imja Khola then to the prosperous village of Namche Bazaar - the gateway to one of the most remarkable mountain landscapes around Khumbu and the monastery village of Thyangboche, stunningly located beneath the imposing peak of Ama Dablam. From Gorak Shep, we set out to visit Everest Base camp in its dramatic location at the foot of the world’s highest peak and the accessible summit of Kala Pattar, arguably the best Everest views and the Khumbu Glacier cascading below. From here we descend to Lukla, marveling at what awards achieved and all the while with stunning views and fantastic scenery all around you!
