Adventure Connexion is specialized in organizing various real adventure treks in Great Himalayas of Nepal. Dolpo Trek is an excellent adventurous, challenging journey in Wild West in the adherents of Bon- a religion whose origins predate Buddhism. Dolpo Trekking is one of the least accessible adventure treks in an untouched region of near mythical prominence and fascinating corner hidden behind high passes. Adventure Connexion inception to Dolpo trekking region via flight to Jufal airport. For the connoisseur of The Great Himalayan Trail, this Dolpo trek is an absolute must.
Few travelers have discovered to the heart of this mysterious, inaccessible Dolpo trekking region brilliantly portrayed in Eric Valli's excellent film - 'Himalaya'. Adventure Connexion provides you break through to explore this inaccessible Dolpo trek land with a mix of ancient Tibetan religions and a hardy people who make their living through farming and through trade with both Tibet and Nepal. ‘Shey' - literally the crystal mountain - so called because of its unusual mineral stratifications. At the base of the mountain sits the 11th century Shey Gompa, said to have been constructed by a Tibetan Buddhist teacher who arrived here on the back of a flying snow lion. Whatever its origins, Shey Gompa is widely revered and every year hundreds of pilgrims come here to visit the gompa and make a ‘kora' or circuit of the ‘Crystal Peak', Dolpo Trek is own version of Mount Kailash. Shey Phoksundo is an access to Dolpo and Mustang Trek.
